• Re: Stoneface--At last!

You're definately confused somewhere. Stoneface was written by Mark Ellis, his first DL that came out in 1996. Eclipse at noon was Laurence James last DL. He quit writing DL in 1995 and he passed away in Feb. 2000. Laurence had nothing at all to with Outlanders...the series was completely created...

  • Stoneface--At last!

Finally GA has done Stoneface , probably the most pivotal book in the series since Pilgrimage to Hell It was the 1st "real" SF Deathlands book and Mark Ellis really blew DL out of the monotonous formula it had fallen into. I'd stopped reading DL a couple of years before because the books...

Didn't the Cerberus crew already go to the Empire of Xibalba, back in OL Skull Throne?

  • Re: Transfuzion/Millennial Concepts

Since Mark Ellis has an active forum on his site you could ask him yourself. But since Gil Kane and Mike Sekowsky didn't create Sherlock Holmes and Don Heck was a good friend of Mark, the situation doesn't seem anything remotely like what went on between DC, a mega corporation and Jerry Siegal...

  • Re: What's up with Team Phoenix?

Most long-time OL fans hated TP (or Team Phoney as they were known ) and thought their kiss-off in Dark Goddess was hilalarious...know I did! They died as they lived...shooting off their mouths and their guns! But according to OL series creator, Main writer and main James Axler Mark Ellis, none of the...

  • Re: What's up with Team Phoenix?

It's very simple, actually. Victor Milan rehashed Team Phoenix from his long dead Guardian's series, and brought it into Mark Ellis' Outlanders. Maybe it was an attempt from Mr. Milan to inspire Gold Eagle to give these wannabes from the 80's a series of their own, maybe it was a slap...

  • Re: Perdition Valley.. The End..

Judging by the DL books I've read, if Ryan can't stab or shoot his way out of a situation, he's pretty clueless. Kane is very much the military tactician, relying on his wits just as much as guns. I agree that Shepherd is a little too small to be Kane...I always picture Hugh Jackman.

  • Re: Perdition Valley.. The End..

"Kane" is like Ryan with an IQ boost and a sense of humor....Grant and JB aren't anything alike that I can see."Brigid" isn't like Mildred either...DeFore is more like Mildred since she's a doctor. Brigid is more of a blend between Samantha Carter and Daniel Jackson. Col...

  • Re: Skull Throne review
You should get Outlanders #12 Wreath of Fire then. There is a villain AND she's a sexy female. Double trouble. ^_^
Sexy female villains were in OL before Wreath of Fire and of course afterward too. My favorite is Catamount from Cerberus Storm followed by Tara...
