    The End ???????

Ok Ok lets have it. Are we coming up on the end of this series? You were doing a new book every month or so then every other month and now its what 3 months since 80 was released and 81 is scheduled till August ? I know my info may be slightly off but its close. Just wondering. Same thing is happening with Outlanders 44 was released 3/08 and next is suppose to be 8/08 5 months also.

    Re: The End ???????

I wish they would release the Outlanders 14 and 15. Only 2 books to go to catch up on the series as a whole and they refuse to get it done. Once they catch up on the 2 remaining books then they can work on producing new books as they come out.

It's no good to make the customer wait. It's definitly making me be not happy with the company.

I know they have other series to produce but they should catch up on the unfinished series BEFORE they start new one.  But trying to get them to understand this is fruitless.

The same thing is happening with Deathlands as well.  It looks like these series are being shoved off as if they are wanting to get rid of them. which is a shame.

As far as I know there is no end in sight to the Deathlands series. One of the best sources for upcoming Deathlands novels is JamesAxler.com.

Deathlands 82: Apocalypse Unborn is scheduled to be released this month in paperback novel by Gold Eagle.

Deathlands 83: Thunder Road is scheduled to be released in September 2008 in paperback novel by Gold Eagle.

We'll probably continue to produce the series in audio as long as Gold Eagle continues the series in paperback.

We're filling in the gaps of the series in between new releases, so we'll eventually have the complete series produced in GraphicAudio.

Personally I like having the older titles mixed in with the new ones. Kind of keeps things new. And I am a bit anal about having the "entire" series in audio. Geeked Plus once they are doing only the new titles, they will come out probably only 4 times a year--that is when the books by Gold Eagle come out.

Glad to hear GA plans to continue DL & OL as long as Gold Eagle continues to publish the books. I hope the sales for the Executioner, Mack Bolan and Stony Man titles are consistent enough to allow GA to continue them as well. I think GA has done a good job of continuing to release new titles in each series while they fill the backlog of older titles. This in additional to continually adding new series (i.e. SURVIVALIST, SERRANO LEGACY, FIRST MOUNTAIN MAIN, EAGLES, etc). While this necessarily slows the release of some older titles in various series, it allows GA to try and expand it's sales base. In my opinion, it would not be wise for GA to concentrate on completing just one or two series at the expense of everything else; they should be expanding their title base (hence, their buying audience) by contiunuing to add new titles. I doubt GA would last too long if they only produced a few titles; the aggregate sales of all the series supports any one series production. That said, VF - anything more definite on the first title(s) in the Truly Frightening series? Or any potential titles beyond the ones I've seen mentioned here; FRANENSTEIN, DRACULA, WAR OF THE WORLDS and 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA? I hope the initial release for the series is still slated for 2008. Thanks.

We're still hoping to start releasing the Truly Frightening series this year. It has been pushed back by various other projects.

There will be more new series starting later this year! I'll update you when I know more...

I talked to Anji Cornette and she said that GA is "committed" to finishing the Stony Man series, coming up next year they are going to mix up the early titles (#6,7,8...) and some of the later ones (mid-40's and 80's). Big Smile
