    Destroyer 115, Misfortune Teller

Just wanted to write in and tell you how much I enjoyed your rendition of Misfortune Teller. Jim Mullaney really knows how to tell a story and Graphic Audio really knows how to produce a first class audio drama. The In this book we see that as perfect as Chiun is, he does need Remo to keep him out of trouble at times. The Master being taken in by the Loonie leader is well played as is the fight between Remo and Chiun.

I also agree 115 is first rate but I would love to get my hands on #1 and listen to how it all started.

That would be fantastic if GA could go back and produce the older adventures. Maybe someday they will be able to but in the meantime we have some great books in The Destroyer series to look forward to.

GraphicAudio has a publishing deal with Gold Eagle and they have the rights to the Destroyer books starting with # 95. We could not acquire audio rights for the earlier titles due to complications with film or movie rights. It might change in the future, but it's highly unlikely. We can enjoy the producing the rest of the Destroyer series to # 131. The #'s 132-145 are declared non-canon books, so it might not be worth producing them?

Can someone provide a little background on whatever "non-canon" means relative to the Destroyer books?  Thanks.

In this case, Warren Murphy, one of the creators of The Destroyer series, declared them to be non-canon. The books were written by someone picked by Gold Eagle who had no contact with Warren and very little knowledge of the series and the books were pretty bad. When Warren got the rights back from Gold Eagle, he moved the series to TOR books and declared books 132-145 to be non-canon, meaning they never really happend in The Destroyer universe. Warren then started writing the books again with his new partner, Jim Mullaney.

If they were produced there would probably be some who would buy them. I, myself, would probably buy them just because I like what GA does with the books, but I would not think they would sell as well as the other Destroyers have done. Hopefully the deal will change and allow GA to produce the old books and The New Destroyer series.

I would hope for #132 (wolfs bane). I know its a terrible terrible mike newton book and has many ?able items (green eyes for instance) however it is connected with Judith White who is a Mullaney character, and overall (being a werewolf fanatic probably) I really enjoyed reading it.

It's a pretty good story with some good action but it just doesn't read like a Destroyer adventure. I am sure Graphic Audio production would help it, though. The terrible trio of 108-110 were much better on CD than on paper. They were still lousy Destroyer books, but the GA team made them better.

Maybe thats why I rather spend well 9 or 13$$$ on a GA produced title than the 5-9$$$ for a paper format. Much more enjoy the quality.
