    Prophet of Doom

The newest installment of The Destroyer is great. When Jim Mullaney took over writing the books he returned them to the glory days of Murphy and Sapir. The Graphic Audio treatment makes the books even better. Hopefully some day GA will be able to do all of the old Destroyers.

I really like the new look to the GA site, too.

Jim Mullaney's writing plus Graphic Audio's production -- the actors, sound effects, etc.  What a great combination!

So is Prophet of Doom the first book written by Jim Mullaney? When did he take over the writing duties?

    Re: Prophet of Doom

Prophet of Doom was the first Destroyer to be completely written by Jim Mullaney. He had earlier written a large part of book #88, The Ultimate Death. In that one he was ghost writing for the then ghost writer Will Murray. After Jim became the ghost writer he wrote #s 111-131 and they were all excellent Remo/Chiun adventures. I hope that GraphicAudio will adapt all of those books eventually plus the new ones that Jim is writing now.

I liked this one alot too. The story was good, the writing excellent and production value nice. On my MP3 CD there were three slips where dialog ran together. Also I have to say the voice of Shiva sounded like a pansy. :)

The voice was not exactly what I have always thought of as the voice of Shiva but I imagine it is hard to be the voice of a god.

You do have a point. I really liked the voice of Apollo (I think they should have switched them) but the best voice was the Pythia, she just gave me the creeps!Angry

I didn't think the Pythia voice would be so delightfully creepy either. Handing in a script is like handing over a two dimensional, black and white line drawing. After they're done magicing it up with sound and acting and music, it's like getting back a 3D, full color IMAX movie.

Making fun of the powerful is Bravery, because they can make you pay for what you say. This is why Satire is the weapon of the Clever Courageous. Making fun of someone weaker than you are, that is merely Cowardice.
