    Missing Destroyer

I was really sad to see The Destroyer missing from the Fall/Winter catalog. Does this mean that GA is done with Remo? If so, that's too bad. Some of the best books in the entire series would have been coming up very soon.

Yeah, a few series didn't have enough listeners to stay afloat.

GraphicAudio never canceled series forever, but there are no Destroyer releases in the upcoming schedule.

Thanks for your support and interest...

That is truly a shame especially now that a Destroyer movie is being made. There is a big possibility for many new Remo fans.

Is there any info on the new Destroyer film? Who would be Remo?

    Google News

The news was out this week... not sure how I missed it. The first film is an instant classic with Fred Ward.

I even bought The Destroyer tv pilot on dvd from ebay a few years ago. I have all the comic books too.

I really wish it was the most popular series that GraphicAudio produced. This upcoming film might bring back the light to the series Geeked

*newbies* If you you haven't heard of The Destroyer, then make sure you listen to some GraphicAudio samples and support the series if you like it.

Just out of curiousity, as I mentioned with Mack Bolan, is there any way GA could produce download only audiobooks for some of the less popular series?

A download only release would still cost the same to adapt and produce, so that wouldn't save on the cost. Thanks for the idea though.

Alright, that kinda stinks. Speaking as a huge fan of this series and not content with it stopping or slowing massively, what can fans such as myself do to get it back on? How many copies should I buy? I can a buy a LOT. Just lemme know. Do you all accept grants or anything?? I am serious.

    Re: Missing Destroyer

I know I'll by buying some Mack Bolan/Stony Man titles, either in a work-related capacity or for personal use.  It is what it is, though.  People just aren't buying them.  Don't know why.  Like someone mentioned earlier, the Graphic in GraphicAudio is more apparent in Action Adventure titles, with prolonged gun battles, fistfights, car chases, explosions, etc.  I guess SF/Fantasy titles have more "imaginative" qualities in them than Action Adventure, which are just straight forward and take place in present day with no fantastical elements.  I think maybe that's what some people go for.

There would have to be a nice increase in sales to continue. Grants wouldn't be possible, so spreading the word is the best thing I can suggest.

    Re: Missing Destroyer

I am doing my part putting out the word for people to buy more and talk them up to friends. I know the economy is not great right now but the downloads are reasonably priced and if the books don't continue we will never get to one of the best in the series, #129.

    Re: Missing Destroyer

We'll all try to get the word out on the sites.  Destroyer Club has recently come back online, but we lost our members and had to start anew, couldn't get into the old data base.

Sales seemed pretty good at first.  If you don't mind me asking, did they go down after books 108 - 110, or after the series stopped being published by Tor last fall?

The only thing you have assassinated is my patience.

I'm not sure when the sales dropped to be honest, but it wasn't enough to continue...

Spread the word about the new GraphicAudio Outlet store. There are a bunch of Destroyer titles available on Audio CDs.
