    THE DARK KNIGHT

Is it just me or would that not be the perfect film for Graphic Audio to adapt? The shooting script is widely available now and there is a novel that was written by Dennis O'Neil.  I think GA could hit this one out of the park. :) Any thoughts? :)

Well, I have to admit that I am weary about Film Adaptations in the first place but if Graphic Audio wanted to they could probably do a good job but I'm not confident that it would be as good of a job as the one already done.

    Re: THE DARK KNIGHT

I think Graphic Audio would be hard pressed to improve on the movie. I would like to see some more movie adaptions, but movies that aren't so well known. I think some horror movies like the Ruins, Silent Hill would make amazing audios much more frightening than the actual movies were.

    Re: THE DARK KNIGHT

I was not suggesting they produce The Dark Knight to improve on the movie. I just think that an audiobook version would be another take on it. Also providing a unique challenge for our beloved Graphic Audio Players! For me Snakes on A Plane improved on the movie but that was because the movie was not what it could of been and it translated better in audio. The story of The Dark Knight would lend itself very well to the Graphic Audio treatment. Without a doubt providing a nice companion piece to the film. I have no belief that this will happen but I would really be pumped if it does. Since there have been novels done for both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight this IS something that Graphic Audio could do if DC Comics & Warner Brothers allowed it. Perhaps if the DC Comics line of books continues to sell well Graphic Audio will persue this? There are so many great DC comics stories that have been turned into novels that GA will probably enventually adapt. Crisis On Infinite Earths is definately something else I hope to see in the 2009 lineup.  Big Smile

I would like to see Crisis on Infinite Earths. I would like to see Dark Night returns, the graphic novel done by Frank Miller done on GA! Actually thinking about it Sin City would be cool too.

    Re: THE DARK KNIGHT

The only problem with Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns is that it was never done as a novel. This has been discussed before on these boards that Graphic Audio would have difficulty adapting straight from the comics or graphic novels.  I really don't see it as much of an issue though because these stories do feature narrative it's just not as much as novels. I think adapting a graphic novel or comic book directly would be similar to the way they would adapt a film script. Also, Eagle One Media has adapted many Marvel comic books into digital comic book DVDs  that feature full casts with sound effects and music. They take the book or graphic novel and adapt it directly animating some sequences and using all the dialoge from the the books themselves. It is they way I think all comic books will be released in the future.
