    Sinestro Corps

I read another post on this forum and it looks like GA will Announce other DC Properties.

Though GA adapts the novelization of IC and 52,  I hope Sinestro Corps is one of them, even though it is only in comic book form.

I love this story and would love to hear the Tales of Green Lantern done GA style.

Even though I made a comment about this in Future DC Comic Projects... I will say it again after not seeing this post prior to this. This would be a great addition to the GA library, and this was picked as one of the top story-lines of 2007. A Comic In Your Mind!!!

I believe it would take a lot of work on GA's part to put a graphic novel/comic series into a recordable format for a dramatization. Just the captions and dialogue from the comics would be very thin. Someone would have to create the narrative, exposition and action description portrayed by the art to flesh out the production. The comics properties they have produced thus far have all been from novelizations of the respective series or independent novels based on the characters. That being said, I also would like to hear the Tales of the Green Lantern Corps done by GA, if it is feasible. I have no idea what the current stories entail, but I remember reading the GL stories in the 60's as a kid and was enthralled by the occasional appearance of one of the other Green Lanterns (Tomar-Re?) and especially the villain Sinestro, the renegade GL with his yellow power ring, who was a particular favorite of mine.

That is true.  At the time I posted this I did not realize at the time that two the DC AudioBooks were based on the novelization of the comic stories like Infinite Crisis and 52.  So sadly unless that is done, it may be to time consuming for them to do it directly from the comic books its is based on.  It is still a great story.

I didn't realize that 52 was adapted into a novel thank you for the info bwana-beast. The reviews for Sinestro Corps were much better than 52 so I am crossing my fingers that maybe DC will make a novel for that one.

The good thing is that DC's catalog of comics novelizations is quite extensive so there's a lot to choose from.

There's a great trilogy of Green Lantern novels that would be a great choice for fans of The Sinestro Corps War!

Green Lantern: Hero's Quest (Justice League of America)  sounds like it has a great chance since it falls in line with the Batman & Superman releases.

If DC did a novelization of the Sinestro Corps storyline, I would enjoy reading it...and, of course, hearing a GA dramatization. The far flung space thing has always been a personal favorite topic. That said, it's surprising to me that after trying several, I just didn't get into the Deathstalker series.

I agree, the GL novels from DC would be a terrific choice for GA to tackle.

The trilogy is called "Sleepers" and is written by Christopher Priest.  The first features Kyle Raynor, the second Alan Scot, and the third Hal Jordan!

This shows my age...I haven't read the GL comic since the 70's. I know who Hal Jordan and Alan Scott are, but who is Kyle Raynor? Is he an alien from the GL Corps?

There is a good description on  Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyle_Rayner.

    Re: Sinestro Corps

Thanks for the link. I checked it out and it all seems too detailed and convoluted for my addled brain! The 60's origin was simple enough for even me to follow...Dying GL (Abin-Sur?) crashes on Earth and ring seeks out suitable replacement (man w/o fear, Hal Jordan)...GL gives him the ring, says do good things with it, and dies. Oh, and he forgot to mention those pesky Guardians....or that renegade GL, Sinestro. I guess if GA ever does these books, I'll learn a lot more than I ever wanted to about the GL Corps. But, that's the way of the comic universe - old timers like me are content with the bare bones beginnings of a character, but that may be too simplistic for today's fans. On the other hand, I probably wouldn't recognize the Hal Jordan of today (if he's still "alive"), and consider 4 decades of history too much trouble to sift through. But I admit, the editorial staff must reshape the concepts to fit the current market of any one era, and what fans look for changes over time.

    Re: Sinestro Corps

I personally like the simpler origins, and the one shot comics instead of having to read a ton of comics to even get an idea of what’s going on. As a kid I remember the clone Spider-Man storyline then to hear about it again years later with Marvel saying it was the clone all along. Now the “Brand New Day” arc that is going on with web head I personally like the smash boom bang The End kind of comics.
