Your only option for iPod is burning the downloadable WMA's to an audio CD and then ripping the CD's back into the computer as un-protected ipod compatible files (mp3 or aac). You can burn the wma audiobook onto Audio CDs using Windows Media Player. After the audiobook files are on CD, you can import or convert the files back onto the computer as mp3 for your iPod.

Please take a look at our
WMA Download Guide for more information on downloading, burning to cd and syncing to portable devices.

There is also a large number of players that support the protected WMA format. A complete list of players that support Windows Media can be found at the "Plays For Sure" website. I personally recommend the Sandisk player or iRiver player.

Since you have an MP3 player such as an iPod, we suggest you purchase our MP3 CDs instead of our WMA downloads. Our MP3 CD's are encoded as High Quality 192kbps files and contain approximately 15-20 tracks. The entire audio book is contained on one MP3 CD which you can easily transfer to your ipod and play.

We may eventually offer MP3 downloads since the entertainment industries are slowly moving in that direction. Thanks for interest!

Dude, I so hope that you do. I hate having to use 5-7 CD's for each book when I could use only one in the MP3 format.

I would love to download straight MP3's instead of WMA's. This would make it alot easier to use.

    Voltage -

    I'm curious -

Why do you guys, at this time, only offer the downloads as WMA anyhow? Is it because of the whole issue with filesharing or is it something else, like being able to sell it AFTER it's been downloaded? After all, once I've downloaded the books and before I'm able to burn them to disk, I have to obtain my personal license.

Mind clearing that up, even if it's just for the sake of finally settling my curiosity?

It's a secure method of digital distribution which is required by the publishers we work with. We're going to experiment with the upcoming Frankenstein and Dracula releases and offer mp3 and wma. I don't have the details yet, but you'll hear about it soon enough.

Great!  Yes it would make it alot easier to download to my ipod.  So i dont have to do the disk shuffle to get it there.

I found a program called wmaconvert. After I download the zip file and extract it all I pay for the license. Then I import the file to wmaconvert and it converts it to a regular mp3 file. Then I can load it into Itunes and my Ipod. The software was only 14.95 It does take a little time to convert the file, but nothing extreme if you plan ahead. Maybe 1/2 to 45 minutes.

I also use an ipod. I use a program to convert it from DRM WMA to mp3 It is a little time consuming. I like the downloads for two reasons. It is quicker and less expensive. DRM convert is the software it cost about $15
