    How about...

Since you're doing Executioner, Mack Bolan, and Stony Man, how about going back and doing the old Able Team and Phoenix Force books?  Those would be nice additions to the fold.  And what about going back to the original 38 or so Executioner books?  I know that GoldEagle didn't produce them (I think it was Pinnacle), so that might involve some extra legal work. But it'd be nice to hear them played out (especially Executioner #2 Death Squad)

We've aware of the Able Team and Phoenix Force series, but there honestly isn't enough interest in The Executioner, Mack Bolan & Stony Man series for us to consider producing them right now.

If the earlier Stony Man titles (1, 2 & 3) turn out to be very popular GraphicAudio releases, then the probability of us producing the earler Executioners would be much higher.

    Re: How about...

I love the old books, but honestly some of them don't age well. Especially the "cold war" era stories. I would love to see them done, but I can understand why GA would be reluctant. I think that the older Stony Man's would sell as well as the newer ones though, I could be wrong. Bottom line though I really don't care which ones GA does as long as they keep doing them! Cool

I believe the early STONY MAN novels should do as well as the current series, but I can see not delving into the individual ABLE TEAM and PHOENIX FORCE series unless there is a groundswell of support.  However, each series had several "super" novels that weren't in the series numbering (NEAN STREETS and HOSTILE FIRE for Able Team; FIRESTORM, SEARCH & DESTROY, COLD DEAD, and WALL OF FLAME for Phoenix Force) that might be candidates for GA - these are not very different at all from the STONY MAN series other than Mack Bolan played little if any role in the stories.

I think these would be good too.

    Re: How about...

Well, one of the reason I mentioned the Able Team and Phoenix Force books was because of the fact that in a few short months, there's going to be a gap between the releases of Outlanders.  All of the back issues will have been done, and so I thought maybe you could do an Able Team book 1 month and Phoenix the next, then the new Outlanders.  It was just a thought, tho

I'm up for Able Team and Pheonix Force books. I really miss the original editions.  They also are much smaller in content.  The books would probabaly translate into much less then 6 hours.  I am figuring 3 hours.  I forget how many pages but they are not 300 plus like Mack Bolan or Outlanders.  They would make nice fillers IMHO.

    Re: How about...

For a variety of reasons I doubt that it would be feasible to think GA could or would contemplate dramatizing the entire run of The Executioner (unless, of course, sales picked up).  However, I believe there are a few books in the early series that could be considered as candidates:

Executioner #1 - WAR AGAINST THE MAFIA - The book that started it all.  Totally different from the Mack Bolan we are now familiar with, this seminal book deserves to be released by GA as a historical icon.  Or at least to show the initial raw characterization in Pendleton's brainchild.  Plus, the revenge war on the mafia storyline is different from anything current in the series.

Executioner #38 - SATAN'S SABBATH and/or Executioner #39 - THE NEW WAR - 38 wraps up the basic mafia war (and is the last complete book by Pendleton?) and 39 starts Bolan/John Phoenix on his long journey with and without official sanction.

Additionally, there are various trilogies that cross between the monthly Executioner and bi-monthly Super Bolan books that could be done as a "mini-series" of adventures, such as the Storm Trilogy (Ex 160-161 & SB 27), the Freedom Trilogy (Ex 174-175 & SB 32), the Terror Trilogy (Ex 186-187 & SB 37) and the Medillon Trilogy (Ex 149 & 151 and SB 23).

Just a few thoughts.  At a minimun, though, I believe Executioner #1 should be released, just because it's the start of it all and has historical significance.  If a decision is ever made to stop releasing the Bolan books, and #1 has not been released, it should be the final release as a farewell gift to the fans.

BTW, thanks again for putting STONY MAN DOCTRINE on the release schedule!Cool

Voltage Flow,  Without delving into specifics, how are the early STONY MAN books doing?  And will GA give any thought to producing Executioner #1 WAR AGAINST THE MAFIA, even if sales of the various Bolan series remain constant.  Thanks.
