VoltageFlow:We tried aquiring the rights to the newer books, but there were legal issues with the film contracts in Hollywood. It has to do with dramatized performances. Since our productions are very similar to film, they will never be produce in GraphicAudio.
That is a real disappointment. I agree with Sunnyjoe. I think a Graphic Audio production could only help the movie by expanding interest in the books and series in general and wouldn't take anything away from the movie. A dramatic audio performance isn't close enough to a movie performance, in my opinion, to do that. And probably none of the New Destroyers will serve as the basis for the movie's script anyway.
And it's even more of a disappointment considering how -- just because someone has bought the rights to a product -- that doesn't guarantee the movie will ever be made. And in the meantime, we're out some great audio perfomances of some great books!
The only thing you have assassinated is my patience.
